The UConn Avery Point campus is located in Southeast Connecticut, on property formerly owned by 1900s entrepreneur Morton Plant and is home to the historic Branford House Mansion.
The 50-year-old campus, situated on Long Island Sound, is home to unique academic program offerings in Marine Science and Maritime Studies. In addition to these degree programs, students can complete undergraduate degrees in American Studies, English, and General Studies or they can begin any UConn degree and transfer to the Storrs campus when ready.
The Avery Point campus provides students with unique experiences outside of the classroom as well. We are the only regional campus to offer competitive athletic programs in baseball and men’s and women’s basketball. We also have an active waterfront programming including club activities in sailing and scuba diving and numerous experiential learning opportunities.
Giving at any level impacts our ability to provide support to Avery Point students through scholarships or investment into experiential learning opportunities such as an Overnight Sail on the Mystic Whaler.
